Austin-Healey 100, Model BN1 is owered by a 2660-cc, 90-bhp four-cylinder engine. This very attractive, sleek two-seater went on show to the general public on the Healey stand at the 1952 Earls Court Motor Show and was designated the Healey Hundred. The demand completely swamped the Donald Healey Motor Company Ltd, to the extent that the Austin Motor Co. offered to take over the manufacture of the car. By the end of the show, the Healey Hundred had become the Austin-Healey 100. Production commenced in 1953.
