Gyron
Cougar 406

The Gyron was design by Alex Tremulis and feature a futuristic delta shape body and one-piece plastic canopy. Theoretically the Gyron balance and road on two-wheels via a gyroscope for stabilization. Inside the two-seat cockpit, a unique steering dial combine with the provision for individual accelerator and brake pads on each foot bar, make it possible to operate the car from either seat. Both time of arrival and speed would be shown on a viewing screen in front of the passenger compartment. The Gyron is 44.85 inches high, 85 inches wide and have a wheelbase of 107 inches.

Ford Cougar 406 features top-hinged, electrically operated gull-wing doors, and came equipped with the new 406 cubic inch V-8. The engine develops 405 horsepower and 448 pound feet of torque. Swing-up headlights are concealed in tips of the fenders. This is the second Ford concept car to wear the Cougar nameplate. The original was a 3/8-scale model from 1956.
