The record-racing GL-1 developed on the chassis of the GAZ M1 has an open body with hood and grille of the "Emka" and four-cylinder engine. Additional 15 hp is gained by increased compression ratio and larger diameter valves. Weight is about 1,000 kg. At the trials in October GL-1 passed kilometer distance at speed of 147.84 km / h.
