Litre Volvo from 1970 gets 130 bhp 2978cc Volvo 164 engine, and 110
mph top speed.2.5 Litre model in 1971 only, has 150 bhp 2498cc
Triumph TR6 fuel injected engine, giving 125 mph top speed.

Litre of 1970 has 85 bhp 1996cc Ford V4 engine and 112
mph.
Production ceased end of 1971,with the firms demise, but re
started in 1981 and still continues.
Launched
at the January 1966 Racing Car Show as a kit car using Mini front and
rear subframes, complete with engine and running gear. Stubby little
coupe body has two doors and no rear access. MkII gets aluminium
window frames with quarter lights and opening windows. MkIII of 1967
has revised body with simpler wheel arch treatment, larger front
number plate panel, and recessed fuel filler.
Marcos goes out of
business in 1971, and is bought by Rob Walker who re introduces it as
the MkIV with new floor pan and opening rear hatch.
In 1975,
project taken over by Harold Dermott, of Oldham Lancs, and continues
in production to 1981, when Dermott brings out Richard Oakes designed
Midas.
Mini Marcos later reverted back to Jem Marsh who continued
with it until 1995.
In 1991, MkV was introduced with larger wheels
and wheel arches and front spoiler. Also got wind up windows and push
button door locks.
