London Show review 1972
TVR 1600 £2,170
Under the re-styled glass fibre body, with its new nose and higher tail is a wider, stronger space frame chassis designed to take a variety of engines; Spitfire, Ford 1600 GT, Triumph 2500 or Ford V6 3000. Better steering layout and less vulnerable exhaust are other features. The heater is improved and the spare wheel goes under the bonnet to leave more luggage space at the rear. New safety regulations have delayed the new model shown last year.
