Alfa Romeo wciąż odczuwa skutki wojennych zniszczeń, więc w pierwszym roku produkcji powstało tylko 1220 egzemplarzy nowego modelu 1900. Mimo to udało się zaprezentować nową wersję 1900 TI z dwugardzielowym gaźnikiem o mocy 100 KM. Napędzany tym samym silnikiem Sprint to skrócone podwozie przeznaczone do indywidualnej zabudowy.
Ponadto w Genewie zadebuitował 1900 Sprint z nadwoziem Touring.

o Grand Prix na "159".
Althogh the production of the new 1900 is still quite limited (1,220 ex.), at the motor show in Geneva Alfa Romeo launched the sports Coupé version called "Sprint" with body by Touring on a shorter, 2,500 mm (98.4 in) wheelbase (C for corto - short) and equipped with more powerful 100 bhp engine. The same engine is used in the new 1900TI Berlina. It has bigger valves, a higher compression ratio and it is equipped with a double carburetor.
