In April the 875 Ranger was introduced. It is a van version of the Saloon with a lift up tailgate, no rear side windows, single drivers seat in the front with aluminium side partitioning and 40 cu. ft. carrying capacity on a flat rear floor extending into the passenger compartment. A single wing mirror is fitted to the right hand front wing. The spare wheel, the heater/demister, the front passenger seat and a painted body are available at extra cost.
In February the GT4S gained the 1.3 litre engine of a Mark III Triumph Spitfire. The rear suspension is improved and the front disc brake calliper area increased. The smaller version was dicontinued in January.
The 2 Litre GT Sports Saloon was introduced in August with a completely new, restyled two-door with fastback bodywork mounted on the Triumph Vitesse chassis and powered by the 1998cc, 95 b.h.p. six cylinder engine with an all-synchromesh, four-speed gearbox. Externally, a full width grille with horizontal bars, twin headlamps, wrap-around bumpers, new rear lamps and large rear window. Inside, the Vitesse instrument fascia, new design of front seat trimmed in "Ambla", a three-spoke leather covered steering wheel and the radio aerial fitted as standard but mounted internally inside the roof. Length 13' 10", width 5' 1½", height 4' 4½"and wheelbase 7' 7½".
