W lutym Vedette przeszła kolejną modernizację. Tym razem zmieniono boczne listwy ozdobne, kołpaki kół i przedni zderzak, który teraz sięga aż do nadkola.
Przedpremierowy pokaz Comète dla prasy został zorganizowany w Biarritz 17 sierpnia. Oficjalna prezentacja nastąpiła w październiku na salonie samochodowym w Paryżu, gdzie został wystawiony na osobnym stoisku. Czteromiejscowe coupé ma nadwozie opracowane przez Farinę i firmę Facel-Métallon.
Drugą nowością na stoisku francuskiego Forda była dostawcza wersja Vedette commerciale. Jest to bazujące na Vedette kombi. Właściwie byłoby to kombi, ale producent zdecydował się zasłonić tylne okienka czyniąc z niej furgon. Wyposażenie ograniczono do niezbędnego minimum. Samochód ma dużą, dzieloną klapę tylną umożliwiającą załadunek, wyjmowane tylne siedzenie i ładowność do 500 kg.
W tym roku sprzedaż spadła do 4130 sztuk (6408 szt. w 1950).

In February Vedette underwent another modernization. This time it gained the side trim strips, hubcaps and bigger front bumper, which now extends to the wheel arches. 
Preview of the Comète for the press was organized in Biarritz on August 17. The official presentation took place in October at the Motor Show in Paris, where it was exhibited on a separate stand. Four-seat coupé body is developed by Farina and the company Facel-Metallon. 
Another novelty on the stand of the French Ford was the Vedette commerciale. It is an estate-car, based on the Vedette. Actually, it would be a station wagon, but the manufacturer has decided to cover the rear window making it a van. Equipment is limited to an absolute minimum. The car has a large, split tailgate allowing loading, removable rear seat and load capacity up to 500 kg. 
This year, sales fell to 4,130 units (6408 pcs. in 1950).
