Husky to nowy model zaprezentowany w październiku w Paryżu. Jest to "ucywilizowana" wersja dostawczej wersji Minxa sprzedawanej przez Rootes Group jako Commer Cob. Kombi powstało poprzez dodanie tylnych bocznych szyb i tylnego, rozkładanego siedzenia.
Hillman Minx Mark VII Saloon superseded the Mark VI and differ mainly in appearance; the rear wings are longer and carry more angular rear lamp clusters, the rear window is larger and the luggage capacity is increased as a result of the reshaped boot. The two-door Drophead Coupé version is similarly modified. Minx Mark VII Californian Hardtop feature modifications similar to those of the Minx Saloon.
From October all Minx Phase VIII models, except the Special and Estate Car, are fitted with a 1390-cc OHV engine. It also features smaller 15-inch wheels, revised suspension with front anti roll barand a trim changes. Special accessories available: radio, heating and ventilation, overrides, white-wall tyres and Rootes Group 'Rimfinishers'. "Special Saloon" is poverty version with the old 1265 cc side valve engine as do estate cars.
Husky was launched in October at the Paris Motor Show. It is "civilised" version of the Commer Cob van with extra side windows and foldable rear bench.
