The XJ series 2 was launched in October.

V12 E-Type Open: £3,638
V12 E-Type Coupé: £4,112
For 1974 the famous E-type two-seater will be made in 12cylinder form only, the 4.2-litre six cylinder-engined model being discontinued. The E-type V12 is available with or without detachable hardtop, and with its 5.3-litre V12 overhead camshaft engine, is one of the world's fastest sports cars. Besides being in the 150 m.p.h. class, the all-independently-sprung E-type has limousine-type flexibility. It will crawl along in top gear and accelerate brilliantly without changing-down. The E-type is available with manual or automatic transmission.
XJ12C: £5,181
XJ12L: E4,702
Latest model from the world-famous Coventry manufacturer, the XJ 12C is a handsome two-door Coupé which, when it is put into production early next year, will be the only 12-cylinder Jaguar with the 'normal' wheelbase (108.8in.). Four-door XJ 12s adopt the designation XJ12L and the long wheelbase of 112.8in., affording increased rear legroom. All XJ12 Jaguars now have redesigned grilles, higher front bumpers, new ventilation and heating systems, and an ingenious central locking mechanism which secures all doors at the touch of a switch.
