Po przejęciu firmy René Bonnet szefem nowo utworzonego oddziału Société Matra-Sports został Jean-Luc Lagardère.
Djet V pojawił się na salonie w Paryżu pod marką Matra-Bonnet. Samochód przeszedł gruntowną modernizację. Dokonano ponad stu modyfikacji. Dzięki poszerzeniu rozstawu kół przedniej i tylnej osi udało się zwiększyć ilość miejsca dla pasażerów. Przedłużono też tylny zwis uzyskując większy bagażnik. Długość auta wzrosła z 380 do 420 cm. Poszerzono nadkola a z tyłu znalazł się zgrabnie wkomponowany, poziomy zderzak. Do wyboru są dwa silniki pochodzące z Renault R8. Wersja Djet V "S" osiąga prędkość 195 km/godz.

Following the acquisition of the René Bonnet brand, Jean-Luc Lagardère become head of the newly created branch Société Matra-Sports.
The
Djet V appeared at the show in Paris under the brand Matra-Bonnet. There have been done over one hundred modifications. With the expansion of the track both front and rear axles engineers were able to increase the amount of space for passengers. Also extended rear overhang gave a larger trunk. The length of the car has increased from 380 to 420 cm. Extended wheel arches and on the back there is neatly integrated horizontal bumper. There are two Renault R8 engines available. The Djet V "S" version reaches a speed of 195 km/h.
