It is powered by a single-carburettor version of the popular MG 1250-cc OHV engine and feature as standard a sliding roof and an opening windscreen.
TD MkII model available as an option from 1952 have higher compression ratio and 57.5 bhp.
The MG company is now a part of BMC.
