MG
1¼-Litre Series YB Saloon superseded the 1947-51 Series Y
model for 1952. The only major change is the fitting of a hypoid
rear axle in place of the spiral bevel type. It is powered by a
single-carburettor version of the popular MG 1250-cc OHV engine
and feature as standard a sliding roof and an opening windscreen.

MkII model available as an option from 1952 have higher
compression ratio and 57.5 bhp.
