W styczniu Opel zaprezentował dwa bliźniacze modele: czterocylindrowy 1,3-Liter i sześciocylindrowy 2-Liter. Największą nowością jest zapewniające niespotykany w europejskich samochodach komfort zawieszenie zwane "Synchronfederung". Nadwozia mają opływowe linie i bagażniki otwierane od zewnątrz.
Produkcja modelu 1,3-Liter ruszyła w styczniu (kilka samochodów powstało jeszcze w ubiegłym roku).
2,0-Liter także opuszcza hale montażowe od stycznia, ale początkowo dostępny był tylko w dwóch wersjach: czterodrzwiowy sedan i kabriolet. W sierpniu dołączyły do nich modele w powiększonym rozstawem osi.
Ofertę zmodernizowanego (seria 1290) 1,2-Liter ograniczono w tym roku do dwóch odmian: sedan i kabriolimuzyna.

In January 1934 Opel presented the twins: 1,3-Liter four-cylinder and 2-Liter six-cylinder. The most important feature is designed in the USA so-called 'Synchronfederung' suspension which provide unbeatable ride comfort. The bodies are of a streamline shape and the luggage compartment is accessible from outside.
The production of the Opel 1,3-Liter began in January 1934 (some cars end of 1933).
The 2-Liter with six-cylinder engine also rolled off the production line in January, initally in only two wariants: four door saloon and two-window convertible. From August 1934 a long wheel base variants olso become available.
The new 1,2-Liter program (Series 1290) is now reduced (to only two variants: the convertible saloon on the saloon.
