At Paris Motor Show 1957 Vauxhalls were displayed together with German Opels.
No new models have been added to the existing range, but all three current models have a brightened Anglo-American appearance and improved interior trim. Some mechanical modifications, too, have been made; compression ratio increases, a different type carburettor, and electric windscreen wipers (replacing the engine-driven type) are among these changes. The bodies of all three cars are basically the same, and many features of the two engines: four-cylinder on the Wyvern, six on the Cresta and Velox-are identical, greatly simplifying the spares question, in which respect Vauxhall owners are particularly well cared for. The cars are hard-working, economical family saloons. Sturdy construction and plenty of room for passengers and luggage are features of the range.
